Handy little tool for downloading books via the computer. Wire could be a little longer, but it's sufficient. Takes up little space when retracted. Very satisfied.

It is a space saver and fits nicely in my accessory bag. It's retractability leaves a little something to be desired but it does do what it says. Had I realized that the Kindle recharger plug came off and became a USB cable, I probably would't have bought this too.

This cord was just what I was looking for to replace the USB charging cable for my Kindle 2: it's small, lightweight, and compact. I can also use it with my phone and other devices which use a micro-USB connector. The only negative and the reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars: the USB symbol on the micro-USB connector is on the wrong side. This wouldn't be that big a deal except that the description explicitly states it is for use with a Kindle 2. The stock Kindle USB cable has the USB symbol on the other side of the micro-USB connector so that the symbol is up when it's connected to the Kindle. On this cable, the USB symbol is on the bottom side of the micro-USB connector when it's connected to the Kindle which could lead to confusion and forcing of the connector into the Kindle, possibly damaging it. I put an identifying mark on the other side of the connector so that I know which side should be up when connecting it to the Kindle.

I have loved this product. With the retractable cords it fits in the smallest places, yet pull out far enough to reach comfortable. I keep this in my purse for traveling and it takes up no room, yet easily accesible. And it fits my Kindle and Palm phone both! Works with the wall charger, car charger and laptop USB port. Triple duty for two different devices. What could be better?!
