SO cute and a great activity! Very educational June 22, 2010

I bought a bug vacuum and this book for my son. He LOVES it! There is a page in the book where you can keep track of the bugs you catch. He's learned a lot about the different types of bugs (crawling, flying, etc) and it has become a great activity for us. He loves catching the bugs and then we bring them in and learn about that type of bug and write it down in the bug journal. I give this book two thumbs up! I am always looking for books that are educational and entertaining. I would suggest this book to everyone. My son just turned 4.

this has really beautiful illustrations and I chose it to buy a bug book. My son loves to "read" or be read to, but never asks for this. maybe in time he will develop an interest in insects, but for now, it is pretty much untouched.

My two year old likes this book. Colorful pages. I was looking for books that had some thing to do with butterflies - her current fascination. And there are indeed butterflies in this book.
